The 2017 Care after Combat Mentor Conference, held at The Concorde Club, Eastleigh invited 50 of our finest mentors and a number of outside speakers to share information and enhance mentoring skills.
It could have been from the excitement of releasing our new Project Phoenix Report earlier that morning, but there was a real buzz in the air as our illustrious leader Jim Davidson OBE opened the conference. The jam-packed day also marked the launch of our partnership with the NHS and Jane Jones taking post as Regional Operations Manager in our Newark office.
Ministry of Justice, Senior Contract Manager and fellow Trustee, David Rogers was generous enough to close the day’s sessions by passing on knowledge and experience from a 26-year career working in prisons. We were delighted to welcome our local MP, Caroline Noakes to witness the day’s events and join us in the evening where all mentors, staff and outside guests had the opportunity to reflect and discuss the exciting plans in store for Care after Combat.
The overall message from the day….. “Don’t promise anything you cannot deliver”
