A Golf Day held at Bearsted Golf Club in Maidstone, Kent took place last month and it was all in aid of Care after Combat, raising £1,400 for the charity.
The event was sponsored by TMC Assist and organised by Graham Doughty. There were 24 participants on the day and the event had several prizes. Graham said: “The course was playing absolutely great, the greens were smooth but very fast and the general comment was, that this made them very difficult to read.
“The event was a great success, and raised £1,400 for Care after Combat. Personally, I would like to thank every that attended for their support. Let’s see if we can beat this next year.”
Care after Combat CEO, Jim Davidson OBE said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to Graham and everyone that took part and supported this golf day. Events like these help raise vital funds for us to give veterans the assistance they need, and we look forward to hearing about next year’s event.”
