Team Second Chance, which is made up of Dan Angell and Tony Wyles, are facing the world’s toughest row – a 3,000 nautical mile race across the Atlantic Ocean, all in aid of Care after Combat and Ickle Pickles.
The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge takes place at the end of 2018 with Dan and Tony setting off in December. They will row for more than 40 days to raise money for the charities, in the most gruelling endurance challenge they’ve ever attempted. They’ll face 30-40ft waves, suffer exhaustion and sleep deprivation rowing a 7.5metre boat for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in a bid to win first place, in a race dubbed the “World’s Toughest Row”.
The lads (pictured centre) visited Care after Combat HQ this week to discuss their challenge and have now started their fundraising. We’ll be hearing more from the duo in the coming months as they plan and train for this epic challenge.
